One thing I've noticed about the English is that instead of saying "you're welcome" the response is "that's all right." Odd at first, but I'm getting used to it. Now when I thank someone for holding the door for me or driving me to Stratford to see the Merchant, I'm ready to be 'all right.'
If you are every in England looking to grab some food to go, when given the option, make sure to tell them you want it for 'take away' rather than 'to go'. You'll appear much cooler.
